Board Leadership Opportunities

CiHRG's Board of Directors helps guide the chapter's strategic direction, programming, membership, professional development, and community engagement. Board service provides an opportunity to take an active role in shaping the future of CiHRG while developing valuable leadership experience.

Whether you are an experienced leader or looking for an opportunity to build your leadership skills, we encourage you to explore how your experience and perspective could contribute to the Board.

Join a CiHRG Committee

Not ready for a Board position? A committee is a great place to start!

Committee involvement allows you to contribute your time and talents without making the commitment required of a full Board position. Committees also provide an excellent opportunity to meet other members, learn more about CiHRG, and gain experience that could lead to future leadership opportunities.

Committee opportunities may include areas such as:

  • Membership & Engagement – Help welcome new members, strengthen member connections, and support recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Programs & Professional Development – Assist with identifying speakers, topics, and educational opportunities for members.
  • Marketing & Communications – Help promote CiHRG programs, events, resources, and member opportunities.
  • Sponsorship & Partnerships – Build relationships with organizations and community partners that support CiHRG's mission.
  • Conference & Special Events – Help plan and support conferences, networking opportunities, celebrations, and other special events.
  • College Relations & Emerging Professionals – Connect with students and emerging HR professionals and help build the next generation of HR leaders.

Whether you have a few hours to help with a specific event or want to become an active committee member, there is a place for you to get involved.

Ready to Make an Impact?

You don't have to start with a leadership title to make a difference. Join a committee, volunteer for a project, or explore a Board opportunity and find the level of involvement that works for you.
