This presentation will walk you through the "how did we get here" aspects of remote work and AI in the workplace, along with some practical tips and suggestions for implementing or re-implementing, and opportunities for dialogue along the way.

About the Presenter, Derek Story
Derek Story currently serves as the Director of HR Systems, Training, and Communication at Illinois State University. During Derek's time at ISU, he has been responsible for continuity of HR technology, learning and development for campus, policy development, and staff recruiting and orientation.

Prior to joining Illinois State University, Derek worked in radio broadcasting and at the global staffing firm TEKSystems in the role of professional recruiter. He is a two-time Illinois State University alum, having received both his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from ISU, and teaches courses at both Illinois State University and Illinois Central College in message design, public speaking and business information systems. He is also a board member of the Bloomington/Normal Human Resources Council (Central Illinois SHRM) and an active member of both the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) for Oracle technologies and the College and University Professionals Association (CUPA-HR).
