Membership

CiHRG is an affiliated chapter of SHRM. Membership to SHRM is not required to join CiHRG, however, we do encourage membership in both organizations.

Who should join CiHRG? CiHRG welcomes individuals who are actively engaged or retired from the human resources profession and/or studying an HR-related field.

Grow

Develop leadership skills and gain experience through volunteer opportunities. CiHRG offers members the opportunity to volunteer on a focused committee or the CiHRG Board. Gain expertise and help to guide the future direction of the chapter while strengthening your leadership experience.
CiHRG also sponsors a SHRM certification study group, which helps to prepare participants for national certification. Members can receive study materials at a discounted rate.

Discover

Gain industry knowledge and learn innovative concepts and best practices through chapter initiatives. Many of our resources are available only to members, such as topic pages, past presentations, free job postings, and access to our membership directory.
CiHRG also publishes a monthly newsletter delivered to your inbox to keep its members informed of Chapter activities. News items include membership information, monthly meeting details, job opportunities and future programming.

Connect

Engage with fellow HR professionals and develop your network. As a CiHRG member, you have access to a community network of resources and individual expertise. Meet your colleagues to exchange ideas and discuss problems. No matter if you’re a rookie or a seasoned veteran, frequent peer contacts are invaluable in continuing your professional education. Network in-person or virtually!
More opportunities are available through SHRM’s state/regional conferences, the annual national conference, topical conferences, and seminars.

Membership Levels

Annual membership runs January 1 to December 31. Annual dues are payable by January 31 of the new membership year.

SHRM members: $200/year annual dues with a minimum of 9 monthly professional development events, including meals and newsletter. subscription.

Non-SHRM members: $220/year annual dues with a minimum of 9 monthly professional development events, including meals and newsletter.

HR Professional Degree Seeking members: $75. Membership for HR Professionals who are seeking a degree (associates, bachelor's, or master's) and current employer will not pay for the CiHRG membership. This membership can be approved for up to 4 consecutive years or until the renewal period after degree is earned. Class schedule must be submitted every renewal period (1/1 – 12/31) to be approved for the HR Professional Degree Seeking membership. This membership is reviewed by the Membership Director and/or the CiHRG Board of Directors.

College Student members (full-time students not working in the HR Profession): $25/year annual dues with a minimum of 9 monthly professional development events, including meals and newsletter.

Membership Application

Payment can be made at the time of application or an invoice will be to the email address provided in the application.
